Our hunts run from the middle of September to the middle of December. Moose range in size to 1500 pounds or more and yield antlers in the 40-50 inch range - the top end of mature Bull Moose is in the 60 inch class. Clients can expect 90% opportunity on quality bull moose.

Calling, stalking and still hunting are methods used for hunting. ATVs are used for transportation during the hunt. Length of shots average about 100 to 200 yards but shots of 250 to 300 not uncommon. We hunt early morning taking a lunch, being in the field all day until late evening on most days.

Accommodations:
Ryan's Outfitters Camps at Little River Lake and Burnt Pond is very comfortable, given the remoteness. Our camps have generators to power lights, charge batteries, etc. Our experienced cooks prepare traditional Newfoundland home cooked meals for the trip in its entirety; you will be treated to meals such as Jigs Dinner, Moose Soup, etc.
