Our hunts run from the middle of September to the middle of December with Bears ranging in size to 500 pounds or more.

Baiting is the preferred method used for Bear hunting. ATV's are used for transportation during the hunt. Length of shots average about 50-100 yards. We hunt early morning taking a lunch, being in the field all day until late evening on most days.

Accommodations:
Ryan's Outfitters camps at Little River Lake and Burnt Pond is very comfortable, given the remoteness. Our camps have generators to power lights, charge batteries, etc. Our experienced cooks prepare traditional Newfoundland home cooked meals for the trip in its entirety; you will be treated to meals such as Jigs Dinner, Moose Soup, etc.
